a talk on " National Biotechnology Development Strategy" on Friday, May
27, 2005 at The Trident Hilton, Gurgaon. The subject chosen is fallout of the Draft Bio Technology Policy.

available to the scientific community. The

DNA Microarrays,
offer a powerful means of interrogating gene expression to provide insight
into cellular changes. These changes occur both naturally during the
multiple phases of cell growth, or as a result of exposure to drugs and other experimental factors. Because all life process involve the
coordinated, differential expression of many genes, exploiting the full
value of microarray is impossible without a comprehensive interrogation of
the entire genome. Therefore, whole genome microarrays are fast becoming
one of the most important tools in the field of Biotechnology & Drug
Discovery.
